Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Who does not love pound cake??!!  This is a good and easy recipe.   1 1/2 cups butter (no substitues) room temperature 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, room temperature 2 1/3 cups sugar 6 eggs, room temperature 3 cups all purpose flour 1 teaspoon vanilla extract In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and cream cheese.  Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy, about 5-7 minutes.  Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Gradually add flour; beat just until blended.  Stir in vanilla.  Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.  Bake 300 for 1 1/2 hours or until cake tests done.  Cool in pan 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack.  Cool completely.   Good stuff!

Red Velvet Triffle

Red Velvet Triffle Kinda good!  I will share this recipe with you.  It is one my mother-in-law used to make.  Only her recipe was pound cake and vanilla pudding.  And that is really good.  But I decided to try a different combination and I must say - yum! Here is the easy recipe: One Red Velvet cake mix - Mix and bake as directed on the box. Three boxes of Cream Cheese Pudding - Mix according to directions on the box. One large carton of whipped cream. Mix and bake Red Velvet cake mix in 9X12 pan.  Let cool.  Cut cake in square pieces.  Mix pudding, one box at a time.  Place several pieces of cake in bottom of triffle bowl.  Pour one box of mixed pudding on top of the cake.  Next put a layer of whipped topping.  Then do another layer of cake, another mixed box of pudding, more whipped topping.  Do three layers of each - cake, pudding, and ending in whipped topping.  Refridgerate over night.
