Pinterest Crafts

These are two projects my daughter, Lindsey did and has in her home. The form is from Michael Craft Store.  And the "grass" is sold in sheets.  She hot glued the grass onto the form.  It really did not take real long to do.  It looks great! This is burlap cut into strips and accordion folded onto a wire hanger.  Looks great, doesn't it?!

Awesome Day! With My Kids!

Michael Mother's Day......love my family!  We spent the day together (minus Hank -sad face- because he had to work) at Lindsey and Joey's.  Mark and I went to church with them then Holly, Michael, and Caden met us at the DeHart house for lunch.  And it was yummy lunching!  Joey and Michael did most of the prep.  (Applause!!!!) But we all helped! It was a great spread - shrimp, steak, and chicken with all the fixings for tacos.  I'm telling you.....it was good!         Sunday was not only Mother's Day.  It was also Michael's 29th birthday.  Yep.  29! He caught up with me!) We are all singing to him.  See his face?  He is enduring our off-key song! Ha! He liked the "25" candles - I think he chose to ignore the four single candles.   Success!  He blew out all the candles.  I think Caden helped. I will share the recipe because it was really really tasty. STRAWBERRY SWIRL CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE 1 1/2 cups butter, softene

Yummy Strawberry Dessert!

Angel food cake is an awesome cake with fruit!  I remember my mom making the angel food cakes by scratch and when she pulled it out of the oven she turned it upside down on a coke bottle to cool!  So, of course, that is what I have to do, too!  Then I had to do a quick dessert, something I could do the night before, but I wanted it to look special and taste delicious.  I looked in several of my cookbooks and I looked at the Pinterest recipes I have saved.  There is the truffle where you cut pieces of angel food cake and layer it with pudding and fruits.  Good stuff.  But I really liked the cake roll.  It just looks elegant and special.  So take a look at my pictures and I will tell you my short cuts. I decided for time sake to go with the cake mix. It worked really well and tasted great. Set out two jelly roll pans, lined with wax paper and lightly sprayed with oil.  Mix the cake according to the directions on the box.  Divide the mixed cake mix between the two jelly roll pans.
