I AM A BIG FAN OF SANTA!

This Santa is really so cute!  If you want the pattern, just let me know!  I made about 5 of them at one sitting.  Once they were cut out and sanded it was fast because most of the detail is really easy to do. I bought the little wreaths at Hobby Lobby, added some moss.  I cut the red bird and the Give Love sign out of thin scrap wood I had.  And the mustache!  I painted Santa's outfit with stars for something different. I like stars. Is he not adorable!?  See the warning...no pouting!    Look at the  burlap bags of toys! My sister painted this and put it together for me.  I love it! This is one of my favorite Santa's. If you have some Santa's you love and want to share, I would love to see them!

Painting Season!

Well, really, I can paint ANY season, but for some reason I really want to paint today!  Has anyone tried Martha's new paint line?  I am really interested in how her paint handles glass.  Must paint a snowman!!!  Wish I had a place to sell my stuff so I can justify painting more stuff.  This weekend is the Moonshine Festival.  Maybe I could get Hank to stand on a corner with my windows. I did try making apple fritters today.  They were ok.  Not up to Kroger standard though.  The boys ate them, so they were not a total bust!  My next experiment will be lasagna soup.  Still looking for a good black bean recipe - black bean chili or black bean soup. Lindsey has been creating lots in her new home.  Her burlap wreath is really cute.  I wish I had a picture to show you.  She is really enjoying decorating her home - doing a lot of up-cycling/recycling with old finds.  She is really getting into it.
