2019 is Fast Approaching

Hello, friends! I am absolutely ready for new beginnings. 2018 has really done a number on me! There have been struggles on so many avenues. But God is good. He has walked beside me and with me every step of the way.

But our way of life has changed. It will be a long time before anything is normal here.

SO......I have been thinking and praying about how I can focus where God wants me. The WORD I keeping “seeing” is SHINE ! 2Corinthians 4:6 says

For God, who said “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

I want His light to shine in my heart. So each day I am going to ask Him to allow me to shine for His glory. I know I have to be thoughtful and intentional as I strive to let His light shine in me and through me.

Oh, and I’m not waiting for January 1 to start SHINING! I’m going to begin this journey today.

Cheese Spread with Crackers

My sister has made this really good spread and I did not realize it was from a local place there in Freehome. This is good stuff! Frosty Frog Cheese Spread 8 oz. cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup sour cream 3 to 4 oz. finely grated cheese 1 1/2 tsp minced garlic parsley to taste Place all ingredients in medium bowl. Use electric mixer to mix all together. Serve with crackers, celery, carrot sticks.

Happy Birthday, Love

My sweet, crazy hubby had a birthday, so, of course, I had to make him something to express to him how much I love him! I have seen different version of "Love Notes" on Pinterest and Debbie Lanning told me about one she saw and that prompted my decision to make my "Love Note" for my Hankster. I wrote a little love note on it for him to find first thing the morning of his birthday. And a new one each day since. I found the picture frame at Big Lots. It is a 5x7 plastic frame. It was l.25. I think it would look better in a pretty decorative frame out of wood, but my budget is small. BUT I will keep my eyes open for something I like better at thrift stores and change it out once I make the find. Then I found the scrapbook paper at Michaels for .29. Lighted Snowman! You Can DIY.

This guy is so cute!! He will look great on the mantle or table. The items you need are all from Dollar Tree or Dollar General. *Two fish bowls (small and smaller) *Mod Podge (gloss or matte) *White glitter *Sponge brush *A set of battery run 10 light strand and batteries *Ribbon or fabric for scarf *Your choice of hat or ear muffs (hat is an ornament from Dollar Tree. Dollar General also has some ornament hats. The ear muffs are made of 2 pom poms and a pipe cleaner.) *Face *Hot glue gun and glue I bought these two fish bowls at the Dollar Tree. They are two different sizes. Wash them, get the stickers off then wipe them down, inside and out with rubbing alcohol or vinegar water. Use the sponge brush to coat the inside one bowl with the Mod Podge. It does not need to be too thick because you do not want it to run and be drippy.
