Hey, friends!  I have another recipe to share with you.  It was the first try and it was really yum! I did not think to take an up close picture of the dessert, so this picture is really so I can show off two of my favorite guys in my life!  But seriously, the dessert was a big hit - all gone, too.  No more. Pumpkin Love!

Fall fun means pumpkin, cider, cinnamon, leaves, vines, gourds......you know what makes you smile.  We did the pumpkin quest and hayride.  Also threw in a campfire at the request of our grandson.  I will show you the pictures from our adventure then I want to give you a really good recipe for a pumpkin spice cake that is delicious.  I also have been busy with some craft creations so I will show the pics of them, too.    Here we are at the farm.  It was a beautiful day and lots of fun!    Posing with the pumpkins.  Picking out a pumpkin to take home was a job.  Lots to choose from.  All shapes and sizes!  Sister and brother.  Busy getting the pumpkins ready to carve.  Messy business!  Tada!    Proud of his creation.  Can you tell what this is?  Looks pretty good! Mark has a friend with a birthday in October so we baked cupcakes for the occasi...

Pumpkin - YUM!

Hey,girlfriends!  I have not been able to take the time to blog and I would like to share a little of that with you.  Then I will share my recent pumpkin capers!  grin Some of you know we have been trying to help Kevin, a young man that we have known since he was 5 years old because he and Mark have been in school together and been friends all through elementary school.  Kevin has been with our family on vacations, weekend camping trips, church, lake days, and more through out the years. We moved away, but still tried to keep in touch with him and see him when we could.  A year ago he was in a pretty bad accident and we did not know if he would live, then we did not have much hope he would be able to function in any kind of normal way.  But our God is generous and He gave Kevin a miracle of life and such vast improvement, so much that if you met him today you would not have any idea that he was practically lifeless and broken last October.  Well, Kev...

Repeat

Pam Poe requested my chicken recipe so I thought I would share with you all again because the way the weather is making us think fall is on the way, we all may be pulling out our crock pots soon! This is so good, so easy, and did I say it's so good?  Get out your crock pot.   Put two skinless, boneless chicken breast on the bottom.  It can still be frozen. Then get you out a can of black beans (rinse and drain). Put that on top of the chicken.  Follow with a can of corn, drained, and a can of Rotel (your favorite type, for there are several).  Now put a block of cream cheese (8 oz. )  on top.  Put the lid on the crock pot, set it on low and cook for 6-8 hours.  I took the chicken out about an hour before we were going to eat and cut it up then put it back in the crock.  It shredded so easily.  Then stirred it up so the cream cheese was throughout it.  You can serve it on rice.  Let me know if you try it and like it. ...

MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE Cake Ingredients 2 cups sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 stick butter or margarine 1/2 vegetable oil 1/2 cup cocoa powder 1/2 cup water 2 eggs 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 cup buttermilk 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 bag mini marshmallows Icing 1 stick butter 3 tablespoons cocoa powder 6 tablespoons milk 1 box (1 lb.) powdered sugar *1 cup pecans, chopped 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Preheat oven to 350.  Grease and flour 13X9 pan.
